Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Purrline Pedigrees (the “Service”), available at www.purrlinepedigrees.com. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. What Purrline is
Purrline Pedigrees is independent record-keeping and cattery management software for cat breeders. It helps you store cat profiles, pedigrees, litters, health records, accounts, contracts and kitten packs.
Purrline is not a cat registry and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting for GCCF, TICA, CFA, FIFe, WCF, ACF, CCA or any other registering body. Pedigrees and certificates produced in the Service are for record-keeping only, are not legal documents, and do not replace official registration.
2. Not legal, veterinary or financial advice
Contract templates are provided as a convenience. Purrline is not a law firm, and laws on selling animals differ between countries, states and regions. You are responsible for checking that any contract you use meets your local laws; consider taking independent legal advice.
Inbreeding (COI) figures, genetics predictions, gestation dates, feeding and dosage calculators are estimates for guidance only and are not veterinary advice. Always consult a qualified vet about the health of your animals. Accounts and profit reports are not tax or accounting advice.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login secure and for all activity on your account. One person or cattery per account; accounts may not be shared to avoid subscription fees.
4. Subscriptions, trials and payments
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance in GBP, USD or EUR through our payment provider, Stripe. New accounts get a 7-day free trial with no card required. During the trial, printed documents carry a SAMPLE watermark.
When a trial ends without a subscription, or a subscription lapses, your account becomes view-only: your records are kept, but you cannot add, edit or print without a watermark until you subscribe. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Plan changes are prorated. See our Refund Policy for details. Prices may change with at least 30 days’ notice.
5. Your content
You own the records, photos and documents you upload. You give us permission to store, process and display them only as needed to run the Service (for example, showing your public cattery page if you choose to publish it). You confirm you have the right to upload anything you add, and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to falsify pedigrees or registration details, to mislead buyers, to break animal welfare or consumer laws, to upload unlawful content, or to attempt to bypass security, payment or usage limits. We may suspend accounts that breach these terms.
7. Availability and liability
We work hard to keep the Service running and your data backed up, but it is provided “as is” and we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. Please keep your own copies of important documents.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost sales or profits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
8. Ending your account
You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time via our contact page. We may close accounts that breach these terms, giving notice where reasonable.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; we will tell you about significant changes. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live.
